about

Gone was recorded on a vintage 1972 Teac mixing console at Mountain Sound Studio at the foot of Hanging Rock, the song was conceived through a dream. John literally woke up, reached for his guitar and sung it into his cassette player at his bedside. The final tune is almost identical to the dream. "It was such a mournful dream about losing my partner that I actually woke in tears"

The Gone video shot by Lukasz Pytlik is about a young woman in a loving relationship who discovers she has cancer. In a attempt to keep it from her partner, she vanishes until she reunites with him for her final days.

Gone is taken from our forthcoming album The Sound of Silence due for release Feb 6 2015.
